Freezing fruit
The secret to making a nice, thick smoothie is to use frozen fruit.
To freeze bananas, take RIPE bananas, peel them, place into a Ziploc or freezer bag and put them in your freezer. That’s it! They’ll last 1-2 months.

Great idea. I also like to use frozen strawberries. Frozen fruits are cheaper and you can keep them in the freezer ready to use when you need them.

Frozen fruit may also have more nutrients than ‘fresh’ fruit in the grocery store. By the time these get to the grocery store, they’ve been on their way more than a day, loosing some nutrients.

Thank you for the great idea…! My mom (Paula) read your advice, but forgot to peel the banana before, not a great result, peeling a frozen banana is not a real pleasure! Besides that the smoothie was great!
